Welcome, to the website of the Grouped Parish Council for the three villages of Flixton, St Cross South Elmham and St Margaret South Elmham. These three villages are situated on the western edge of the East Suffolk District Council area. They are part of a larger collection of villages known as 'The Saints' which was for many years (until recently) a electoral ward of the district council. The villages are now in the ward of 'Bungay and Wainford.' The Grouped Parish Council was formed in the 1970s . Flixton, having the larger population has four councillors whilst St Cross and St Margaret both have three. The Parish Council usually meets bi-monthly on a Monday evening
The district councils of Waveney and Suffolk Coastal recently amalgamated to form East Suffolk District Council - now the largest (geographical) district council in England. Our District Councillor is Mr David Ritchie. Click here to see Mr Ritchie's details on the East Suffolk District Council website. Mr Ritchie is also our County Councillor and his details on the Suffolk County Council website can be seen here
The next Parish Council Meeting is on Monday 8th January 2024, which will be held at St Margaret South Elmham Village Hall, commencing at 7.30pm.
The last Parish Council Meeting was on Tuesday 7th November 2023 at Flixton Village Hall. Click here see the minutes of the meeting.

The River Waveney Trust are currently undertaking a campaign to deliver advice and guidance to homeowners on best practice septic tank and sewage treatment system management, to help address pollution in the River Waveney catchment. Due to a lack of mains sewerage, St Cross & St Margaret South Elmham are two of the target villages for this project. For details, click here.
