Welcome, to the website of the Grouped Parish Council for the three villages of Flixton, St Cross South Elmham and St Margaret South Elmham. These three villages are situated on the western edge of the Waveney District Council area which is in north east Suffolk. They are part of a larger collection of fourteen villages known as 'The Saints' which is an electoral ward of the district council. The Grouped Parish Council was formed in the 1970s . Flixton, having the larger population has four councillors whilst St Cross and St Margaret both have three. The Parish Council usually meets bi-monthly on a Monday evening
The district councils of Waveney and Suffolk Coastal are to amalgamate. A public consultation is taking place with regards proposed ward boundaries following the amalgamation. There has recently been a discussion in one of the villages about how residents might be able to get help from neighbours in times of trouble such as power cuts or bad weather. The organisation Community Action Suffolk helps set up Good Neighbour Schemes and further information can be found here
